Strong growth in the global brick and tile industry has been reflected in a record number of machine sales by Craven Fawcett over the past year. Orders have been received from the UK and across the world, with Extruders and Box Feeders proving particularly popular.
Plasmor Ltd recently purchased their third Craven Fawcett Centrim 410 Extruder and Box Feeder. Installed and commissioned by Craven Fawcett service engineers at their Great Heck site, the Centrim 410 will produce clay pellets used in the manufacture of lightweight aggregate blocks. Ibstock Brick Ltd has also purchased two Box Feeders, which have been fitted with the latest track plate design.
A Nigerian Company has ordered another Centrim 410 Extruder and Rotary Plastic Feeder as part of a Craven Fawcett clay preparation line. The Centrim 410 combination 16-inch diameter Extruder and Double Shafted Mixer/Pug Sealer is ideal for processing the difficult Nigerian clays, and will produce an impressive 10,000 perforated bricks per hour. Encompassing a large De-Airing chamber with twin packers to reduce bridging, the extruder includes wear resistant Augers of 28% chrome alloy and chrome mixer blades of variable pitch.
The selection of a Craven Fawcett Extruder was based on the machines excellent reputation for extruding abrasive materials. The Centrim 410 will be fitted with Craven Fawcett’s latest split hinged barrel design for ease of maintenance, and a double hinged Mouthpiece to cater for frequent die changes.
