Dedicated to improving the quality and workmanship of its products, Craven Fawcett has launched the new CF-1000 extruder worm sections.
Trialed at Ibstock Atlas, the CF-1000 worm sections produced 22 million bricks before they required replacing, an increase of 57% on the average 14 million units produced using standard worms.
Ibstock Atlas has since ordered all new worm sections to CF-1000 specification. Works Engineer Mr Steve Taylor commented, “I am very pleased with the performance of the CF-1000. Not only are they cheaper in the long run, but they have also allowed the site to increase production by reducing machine downtime.”
Never complacent about the performance of Craven Fawcett machinery and spares, the Company’s Senior Design Engineer, Dave Pearson, commented, “we are very pleased with the results from the CF1000 trials, but as an OEM we are continually working on new projects dedicated to improving the wear capabilities of our machine parts. Our objective is always to improve product value.”
